APF President Roberto Fiore travelled to Minsk this week where he held a series of meetings. The first one took place in the important Monastery of St. Elizabeth, a real Orthodox Citadel in the heart of Minsk led by the well-known Father Andrew and central point of the Christian Faith in Belarus. There they discussed the need to fight the good fight against abortion and in favor of population growth; In this context, although the State maintains a law permitting abortion, It’s opened to the influence of Christian groups. With these pressure groups, a cooperative relationship with FN and Italian Pro Life groups is being studied.
This was followed by a meeting at the headquarters of the Liberal Democratic Party which, beyond the name, the result of a closeness to the Russian populist Zhirinovski, represents a sort of party in the spirit of ‘her loyal opposition’ radically favourable to the President. We talked about an important legal initiative against NATO and of a school of international geopolitics, as a training institute for all the national-popular realities of the continent. Then followed meetings with the “conservative” lobby (this is an improper name that comes from Putin’s Russia) that unites young Catholic “Lefebvrist” and Orthodox intellectuals, in a vast and interesting cultural and political action, aimed at making Belarus the first Christian nation in Europe.
Fiore was then interviewed by a “conservative” online newspaper, which highlighted in particular his role as a traditionalist Catholic, standard-bearer of the great Italian and European moral values. The strategy of the APF is to create a new Europe outside NATO and Brussels, a point of reference for the people who have seen their freedoms attacked by governments and WHO and for the sovereignty of the European peoples.
