All nationalists will be aware of the growing problem of the ruthlessly totalitarian censorship policies of Facebook. Indeed, the ultra-‘liberal’ social media giant is increasingly being dubbed ‘Farcebook’ by people in the know, because the scale of its censorship is now becoming utterly ridiculous.
The latest shocker is that Facebook’s Minitru ‘moderators’ are now banning posts and suspending or closing down accounts of people guilty of the ‘crime’ of reposting articles appearing in mainstream newspapers. Here is a typical example: The gagging order sent to a lady who dared simply to repost, without comment, a Daily Mail report (2nd August) about unfortunate migrants drowning en route.
In recent years, Facebook has become a major publicity outlet and recruitment and organisational tool for almost every nationalist organisation. Its currently uniquely vast reach into the ordinary public means, of course, that it will continue to be very important, but we all need to understand that the writing is on the wall and that the days in which patriots could make big gains using Facebook are coming to an end.
Some people are understanding this – and taking action – quicker than others. Our featured image is of a report the other day in the popular online Islamo-realist news outlet Breitbart. Under the headline shown, the article continued as follows:
“Germans who are critical of Islam and mass migration are fleeing to the site VK, known as the Russian Facebook to avoid censorship of their remarks and possible raids on their homes.
“Free speech in Germany has come under fire in recent months with an increasing amount of Germans being arrested jailed or fined for what the German state considers hate speech online. The German government has even enlisted the help of social media giants like Facebook to track down posts that are critical of Muslims or of mass migration
“Now more German internet users are flooding to Russian Facebook equivalent VK network to avoid the censorship reports Die Welt.
“Once more known for being a favourite hangout for European political fringe groups, VK network has become the last bastion for many Germans who simply want to express their displeasure with the ongoing migrant crisis without fear of their comments being taken down or VK alerting police.”
VK works in exactly the same way as Facebook, and is available already in a number of languages, including English, German and French. The only real difference is that it’s a censorship-free zone, whereas Farcebook is run from top to bottom with insane liberal bigots who are gradually destroying their own business model by crushing free speech.
Of course, Facebook will remain hugely important as a way of reaching the public with increasingly ‘coded’ messages, but the sooner we follow the example of many anti-immigration Germans, the sooner the intelligent, questioning public will switch as well. Even before then, there is absolutely no excuse for nationalists to continue to rely (as we nearly all have done up until now) on Facebook for internal organisational contacts. Just arrange to switch such closed groups over to VK immediately.
