If you were in favour of British membership of the EU, scared of losing the popular vote, and willing to cheat to avoid that, how would you do it? The easiest way of all is to ‘nobble’ the postal votes. Surely no-one would do that? If you think so, just look who’s doing the counting!
MILLIONS of people vote by post, which means that there ballots are received at the local town hall over about two weeks. Every day, volunteer council workers open and check the ballots as they arrive. But NO-ONE checks them as they do so. And who are these people? Members of the left-wing, pro-EU union UNISON.
On the right is a screenshot from the UNISON website, confirming their position strongly in favour of British membership of the EU.
Now, we’re not saying that ALL Unison members are corrupt neo-Marxist fanatics who would sink to ‘spoiling’ piles of ‘Leave’ votes by adding a second cross to them. That would be unfair and unrealistic.
But we know for absolute certain that this is PRECISELY the trick that a significant minority of Unison members have done in past elections in order to scupper the chances of parties they oppose, principally the BNP, against which massive electoral fraud, involving everything from boundary changes to the wholesale theft or spoiling of votes was frequently perpetrated.
They’ve done it before, and David Cameron happily signed up as a founding sponsor of the deeply undemocratic Marxist thugs of ‘Unite Against Fascism’, so anyone who thinks these hard-core Labour cheats won’t do the same this time must need their head examined!
Of course, even large-scale cheating with postal votes is unlikely to alter the outcome if there is a high turnout and a clear majority one way or the other on polling days itself. But if the contest is close, then the almost uniquely corrupt and corruptible British electoral system could well decide which way the vote goes. Which, since huge numbers of ordinary Brits are now convinced that there is going to be a vote to Leave, could be just in itself open a whole new can of worms…
