Truly shocking footage from Greece, showing the callous nature of some bogus ‘refugees’, and also highlighting the very real dangers facing those who are genuinely fleeing from the chaos imposed on their countries by EU-backed ‘regime change’ wars. We genuinely pity these people, which is why we don’t try to use them as political pawns.
Those who like to talk about ‘protecting refugees’ while at the same time supporting the deliberate destabilisation of entire countries are hypocritical in the extreme. One of the fundamentals of European civilisation is the convention established by the Treaty of Westphalia, which ended the appalling Thirty Years War by establishing the doctrine that nations should not intervene military in the internal affairs of others.
The recent decision of Nato powers to ignore this fundamental point of international law has helped force millions of people from their homes and created one of the worst refugee crises in human history. Anyone truly committed to European values would recognise that they are best served by upholding the convention which ended Europe’s own Wars of Religion, recognising the “right to remain at home”, and following the international obligation to co-operate with the sovereign Syrian government in its genuine war on terror.
