MEP Fountoulis concerning the report of progress for Turkey

Intervention during the debate in the plenary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg made the Golden Dawn’s MEP, Lampros Fountoulis. The topic of the discussion was the progress report on Turkey’s accession course. Of course, Golden Dawn’s MEP pointed the fact that Turkey has no place in Europe and listed the numerous cases in which the temporal Turkish behaviour proves it. Both the daily violations against Greece’s airspace and the continued occupation of part of Cyprus, and with its attitude in favour of the Caliphate’s criminals and immigration, Turkey confirms those who say that the reasons which enjoys the support of some European -and particularly German- politicians having to do only with economic and political incentives.

Following is the full text of the intervention:

Just the name “Progress Report for Turkey” is unfortunate and shows how European politicians adorn the reality and desire to serve the Turkish interests. Turkey has not progressed in any sector.
Conversely, always remains an arrogant State, far from any sense of respect for their neighbours, with complete disregard for international law. We all know very well that the Turkish government supported the criminals of the Islamic Caliphate; it continues for forty-two years the illegally occupation of part of Cyprus and every day forwards territorial claims against Greece.
Concerning the issue of immigration. On the same day that 150 migrants were returned to Turkey, 600 new immigrants arrived in the Greek islands. Turkey connives or cooperates with traffickers.

Just one of these actions would be enough to stop all thoughts for cooperation with this State. But conversely, the European Union insists considering Turkey as a strategic partner, with a regime that imprisons anyone who dares to challenge it. Last even, it decided to drag to court reporters from other countries if they dare to satirize the great Sultan Erdogan. With the support of Chancellor Merkel of course, who probably thought that there are many Turkish voters in Germany.
