APF is participating in the big Danish political festival ”Folkemødet” which is being held on the island of Bornholm in June. Danskernes Parti ( :Party of the Danes) is hosting 3 events on the festival, one of which will be a panel discussion between members of the APF.
Roberto Fiore (Forza Nuova, Italy), Georgios Epitideios (Golden Dawn, Greece), Yvan Benedetti (France) and Daniel Carlsen (Danskernes Parti, Denmark) will participate in the panel discussion. The panel will discuss different topics of high relevance to European nationalism, e.g. the persecutions of nationalists and the nationalist vision for a new European collaboration.
For several days this has been the top story in all Danish news media, which made sure to use the opportunity to bash the nationalists of Europe. For instance our Greek friends of Golden Dawn have been called “criminals” amongst other factually incorrect slurs. And at this point several Danish politicians have denounced the participation of true European nationalists in the festival. But Daniel Carlsen, the chairman of Danskernes Parti, has defended Golden Dawn and the APF in the media and has simultaneously attempted to correct the mistakes made by the media.
Due to the massive media coverage the Danish political festival considered to reject the events arranged by Danskernes Parti, but after three days of dialogue it was decided that the events could take place as planned. And despite of the fact that many Danish politicians are denouncing the participation of nationalists at the festival, it has now been revealed that a MP from the socialist party will meet Daniel Carlsen from Danskernes Parti in a debate on immigration during the festival.
