APF congress in Serbia, Fiore: “The serbs will not be left alone anymore”

Speaking at the conference “The European right on the Kosovo crisis”, which was held today in Belgrade, Roberto Fiore, president of APF, said that Europe “must no longer tolerate that Kosovo has become the base of crime and Islamic terrorists and that the destiny of Kosovo is to go back to Serbia”.
He added: “The idea we have regarding Kosovo and Metohija is very simple; historically, geographically and politically, Kosovo and Metohija are Serbia. The continuation of the provocations of the Shipta minority is a stab at the heart of any peace process. The goal of the agreement in Bruxelles, was to ensure at least temporary peace, but it has rejected by the Albanians. We know about the arrests of Serbs, intimidation and persecution. What should we do as Europeans? We should support the demands of the Serbs, which are very simple, and to give them back their territory. Furthermore, Europe must overcome divisions. We know that Kosovo has been for a long time a base for crime and terrorists along the lines of the Islamic State. Should we accept it?” Fiore asked.
He recalled that “Italians and Serbs have a common history since the times of the Roman Empire, that Constantine the Great was born in Niš” and that “a total of 17 Roman emperors came from the territory of Serbia”. So italians and serbs are part of the common European culture: “Our support for Serbia will be unequivocal, strong and dynamic. We don’t just want to make statements, we want as a political movement to help more concretely. When our support is required, we will be ready to come and bring help. Solidarity but also the strength of a Europe of the People. It is our fault that we left Serbia alone in the 90s: there were protests, but it was not enough. The Serbs will not be left behind this time” – promised Fiore.
