Forza Nuova leader Roberto Fiore examines the Libyan issue that has developed in the past few hours. Russia’s position, the economic and commercial implications, the Turkish decision and yet another Italian mistake looming on the horizon. The picture outlined by the FN leader is clear:
“Turkey has chosen to move into Libya on the side of the Western-backed Fayez Al-Sarraj. The Western puppet represents the armed forces of the Muslim Brotherhood, unlike his rival Khalifa Haftar, who is influenced by the ideas of Gaddafi’s Green Book. Hafta has a deeply anti-Islamic social-nationalist vision for Libya. The advance of Haftar’s forces has seen the elimination of jihadist groups from the territory under his control and Russia is already siding with him on an informal basis.”
Fiore gives an alarming warning about how Erdogan’s move will unfold: “The Turks will use the ISIS fighters who are right now fleeing the final Syrian-Russian push in the province of Idlib. This means that up to 60,000 hardcore Islamists will arrive on Libyan territory, paradoxically under the aegis of NATO ”.
Will Putin-Erdogan relations crack? According to Fiore “Russia entered the Mediterranean with the victory in Syria and will not be made fun of by Erdogan … It is clear that the recent statements by the Turkish Prime Minister will attract a strong Russian response.”
And then there is Italy. The position of the boot is currently “catastrophic”: “The lack of political education in Italy is creating a disastrous situation – the leader of the FN declares. “Nobody understands anything anymore. All those who move in the geopolitical and strategic sphere suffer from an inferiority complex towards the Israelis, the American Deep State or, in the best case, towards the French or the English.
“If nothing is done to stop Erdogan and his Islamist pawns, the jihadist people smuggling operations to the coast of southern Italy will increase even further, and Italian soldiers will be sacrificed on the altar of ignorance and cowardice. So what are we doing on the wrong side? Gaddafi’s last words Berlusconi still ring true: ‘you are a traitor’. Italy, alas, is always in the hands of the traitor on duty. “
Fiore explains too that “Italy’s geopolitical interest in Libya is simply enormous. We transformed a land occupied by nomadic tribes into a wonderful place. 30,000 Venetian farmers were sent every year for three years (before the war) to transform the desert into stable land, while Tripoli became one of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean. Let’s not forget that in 1911 and 1912 there was a very important war where the Italians defeated the Turks … because the government of that time, although liberal, saw in that war the necessary defence of the Italian interest. How many Italians know of the Italian-Turkish war? Does Di Maio know anything about it? Has the Italian Foreign Office lost all its traditional intelligence?”
Finally, Fiore concludes: “Only one thing appears certain in this picture. Given the state of play on the international chessboard, given the antics of the Foreign Office , given the insidious daily decisions of the Government, it becomes increasingly evident that only Russia and its President Putin can save us”.
